I've decided I want to run this blog VERY informally. I'm going to talk as I would talk if you were sitting across the table from me and we were both consuming our respective slices of cheesecake (I'm a bad dessert sharer).

I'm also going to try VERY hard to keep the reviews short and to the point. But I kind of have a tendency to ramble, so we'll see how that goes.

Queen Ella Bee reads is a (mostly) YA book blog. I read almost every genre under the YA umbrella, but my ABSOLUTE FAVORITES are:
  • Contemporary
  • Fantasy
  • Steampunk
  • Retellings (Fairytale, classics or other)
  • Historical Fiction
  • Sci-Fi

I also especially enjoy books that are contemporary with a hint of paranormal (ie: Before I Fall) and anything with a bit of Greek mythology (ala The Goddess Test series or Percy Jackson).

Genres/categories I generally don't like so much are:
  • Erotica
  • Paranormal
  • Vampires (I know this falls under Paranormal, but I really don't life vampires.)
  • Non-Fiction
  • Short Stories

I do read all unsolicited requests, however the genres/categories on the former list will probably fair better than those on the latter. I also might pick up a compelling adult or MG novel from time to time but I'm unlikely to accept unsolicited review requests in those categories.

I accept ebooks and physical books for review (although a physical book is preferred). Furthermore, if I do accept a copy for review, I can't promise I will read/review your book immediately. However, if I do read and review, I promise to write an honest review.

Please note: I only accept review requests that are made through email. Upon sending me your review request, be sure to include information about your book, what you'd need from me and if you have a timeframe for when you'd like me to read the book. I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.

Sometimes I'll find myself possession of an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy), whether in ebook or physical form. There is no exchanging of goods, services or money for these review copies (AKA I bribe no one and no one bribes me - although the former's probably be more likely). I also sometimes take books out the library or get/borrow books from friends. Then there are other books I spend my money on, which is less nice to my wallet than the other options, but it'll do.
